Seven ways to get accredited TEFL certification,
from $34 to $89.
TEFLmasters offers a full range of online TEFL/TESOL courses, from our cheapest 120-hour option through to our broadest 220-hour course, plus practical assignments options and a 24-hour teaching practicum add-on. Every course is accredited by OTCAC, built by professional teachers, and includes a QR-verified digital certificate.
We're honest about what each course is: an affordable online TEFL/TESOL certification, not a CELTA course, and not a government-regulated Level 3 or Level 5 award. Use the comparison table below to see exactly what's included in each option before you enroll.

Course overview
What's actually inside a TEFLmasters course.
Every TEFLmasters course is delivered online and self-paced, so there aren't any fixed lesson times or classroom attendance requirements. Courses combine teacher-written text units, video lessons, scenario-based lesson flows, and quizzes, so you're applying TEFL theory to realistic teaching situations, not just reading and clicking through.
Unit quizzes generally allow retakes to support learning, while midterm/final exams are typically limited to 3 retakes, and a 75% passing standard applies across assessments. You can preview real course content before paying via our free Lesson 20, which covers assessment and feedback, including a rubric-based writing task and a speaking-assessment role-play.
Once you've completed and passed your course, you'll receive a digital PDF certificate with QR-code verification linking to our online transcript system. Non-budget courses also include a self-print certificate bundle, designed with wider borders so it prints cleanly on thick paper at home, without needing edge-to-edge printing. Certificates can also be notarized and apostilled where required, and don't routinely expire, though some employers prefer recent training.
To enroll, you'll need to be 18 or older with moderate to fluent written and spoken English; non-native English speakers are very welcome. Payment is secure via Stripe or PayPal, and we offer a 14-day moneyback/cancellation period, though deductions may apply for accessed digital content in line with our terms and UK/EU consumer law.

They share the same core 120-hour TEFL-TESOL curriculum and accreditation. The $34 course includes online-teaching guidance as a single dedicated bonus unit. The $49 course adds full tutor support, 12 months of access instead of 4, a job support bundle, and online-teaching guidance woven throughout every unit.
Our cheapest 120-hour course is $34, the regular 120-hour course is $49, the 168-hour TEFL-TESOL course is $59, the 220-hour course is $69, and the 120-hour course with practical assignments is also $79 (or $89 for the 168-hour version). A 24-hour practicum add-on is $79.
It depends on your budget and goals. Use the quick chooser and comparison table above, if you want the lowest price and don't need job resources, the $34 course works; if you want full support, choose $49 or higher.
Both build on the 120-hour foundation. The 168-hour course adds specialist young learner and adult learner training; the 220-hour course goes further with additional units for a broader teaching profile.
It's a paid add-on for learners who want verified practical teaching experience. You'll need to source your own suitable teaching opportunity; we review and verify the documentation, but we don't arrange placements. It shouldn't be considered CELTA-equivalent.
Yes. TEFLmasters is a UK registered learning provider and our TEFL courses are accredited by OTCAC. We provide affordable accredited TEFL/TESOL training, not CELTA or government-regulated Level 3 or Level 5 awards.

Yes. TEFLmasters courses are delivered online and described as TEFL/TESOL certification, designed for teaching English to speakers of other languages in online and international contexts. Your certificate reads "TEFL-TESOL".
Yes. Non-native English speakers can take TEFLmasters courses if they have strong written and spoken English. Employers may set their own English proficiency or passport requirements when hiring.
TEFLmasters certificates don't have a routine expiry date, though some employers may prefer recent training or evidence of recent teaching.
Our certificates are designed for international TEFL/TESOL use and include QR-code verification. They can also be notarized and apostilled where needed. Final acceptance is always decided by the employer, school, platform, ministry, or visa office reviewing your documents.
We provide training and job resources, including a job support bundle on most courses and access to our job board, but we don't guarantee employment. Hiring depends on the employer, country, visa rules, degree requirements, experience, and market conditions.
Many TEFL jobs accept online TEFL training, but some employers or visa routes require observed classroom practice, CELTA, or another specific qualification. Our 24-hour practicum add-on is available for learners who want verified teaching practice. The practical applications of lesson planning and demo lesson-making mimic more what you get in Level 3 and Level 5 courses, though most don’t actually ask you to demonstrate teaching - this is where our courses may actually be more valuable than these, despite not yet being Ofqual regulated (we haven’t yet taken the final steps in this process).
TEFLmasters offers a 14-day moneyback/cancellation period. Deductions may apply for accessed or used digital course content in line with our terms and UK/EU consumer law. Try the free lesson before enrolling.
Unit quizzes generally allow retakes to support learning. Midterm/final exams are typically limited to 3 retakes, with a 75% passing standard. Check your course instructions in the student area for specifics.
