No. At least 6 hours must be teaching or tutoring, and up to 14 can be observation. Many students choose to teach all 20.

Yes. Online and in-person hours count equally, as long as the lessons are live.

No. You arrange your own placement, and we give you lists, guides, tips, sample emails and a practicum requirement letter for schools.

Yes, if English isn't their first language. We'll ask for stricter evidence, such as audio or video recordings and your lesson plans.

Yes, as long as it meets the requirements. You can also combine several places to reach your 20 hours.

Non-native English speakers of any age, level or background. Mixed classes with native speakers, other subjects taught in English and recorded lessons don't count.

After the lesson planning unit, though we recommend finishing the course first. You have 120 days from finishing the course, and extensions are possible if you ask before your deadline. Most students take 2 to 3 months.

A reflection after each session, a completion log with dates, places, activities and contacts, and a 500-word final reflection.

Our teachers review everything you submit, and we may contact your placement or ask for extra evidence.

Within 48 hours of your final reflection. It's a QR-verified PDF that shows your practicum hours.

Yes. When you enroll in the Premium, 168-hour or 220-hour course, add Practical Assignments (+$20), 4 tasks marked by a tutor, or Practical Demos (+$40), with 2 lesson plans and 2 recorded demo lessons marked by a tutor.

Only within 14 days and before you've submitted any documentation. There's no refund if you don't finish your hours by the deadline, though we offer free extensions instead, or if your evidence doesn't meet the requirements. That's why we ask you to email us before you add it.
